Our Video review program is one of the most important tools for goalie development. It allows athletes & coaches to see the game from a completely different perspective. At Increased Goaltending, our in-depth video review sessions break down every moment of a game — highlighting positioning, rebound control, tracking, decision-making, and movement patterns. Whether done virtually or in person, each edited review helps goalies understand not only what they did well, but where improvements can be made to elevate their performance. By studying real game situations frame by frame, our students gain the awareness, confidence, and hockey IQ needed to improve faster and perform more consistently.

How it works

The video review process at Increased Goaltending is designed to give goalies clear, personalized feedback they can immediately apply to their game. After receiving the game footage, we complete a full in-depth breakdown of the entire performance, analyzing positioning, movement, puck tracking, rebound control, decision-making, and overall game habits. Goalies can either meet in person for a one-on-one review session or receive a fully edited virtual breakdown with voice-over analysis explaining each key moment. Every review also includes a detailed evaluation sheet outlining strengths, weaknesses, areas to improve at the next practice, and a customized set of drills from the Increased Goaltending training portfolio to directly target the specific issues identified during the game.
