Meet Your Coach

With over 17 years of playing experience and the owner of Increased Goaltending since 2023, Sean brings extensive knowledge and high-level experience to every session. His custom coaching programs are designed to help goaltenders develop and improve at an accelerated rate by focusing on individualized training and long-term growth.

Sean began playing AAA hockey in Oshawa, Ontario at the age of 9. During his five seasons in Oshawa, he earned the Dutchy Turner Award for Most Outstanding Minor Hockey Goaltender three consecutive years (2012, 2013, and 2014).

At age 14, Sean moved on to play U16 hockey with Blyth Academy, where he spent two seasons. During that time, he posted a 16-2-1 record with a 2.40 GAA while becoming the youngest goaltender in league history.

Sean later returned to minor hockey for two U18 AAA seasons with the Clarington Toros, helping the team earn a bronze medal at the OHF All-Ontarios.

Following a junior career in the GOHL, Sean earned a scholarship to Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he played for the school’s Division 1 program before transitioning into full-time coaching.

Today, Sean focuses on developing goaltenders through personalized training programs built around strong fundamentals, confidence, and game-ready performance.

Our Mission

At Increased Goaltending, our mission is to solve one of minor hockey’s biggest development gaps: the lack of structured, position-specific training for goaltenders. While teams often focus heavily on player systems and skill development, goalies are too often left without the consistent coaching and support they need to grow. We provide specialized goaltending development that builds confidence, technical skill, game awareness, and long-term success for goalies at every level.

Why Train with Increased Goaltending?

We don’t believe in generic sessions or one-size-fits-all coaching — every goalie receives a custom-tailored development plan designed around their individual needs, goals, and playing style that can only be developed with experience. Our service goes beyond the ice, providing detailed video session breakdowns, ongoing progress reports, and personalized on-ice training to ensure measurable improvement over time. Goalies also gain exclusive access to the Increased Goaltending drill portfolio, giving them the tools and resources to continue developing outside of scheduled sessions. Our focus is on creating a complete development experience that helps goalies train smarter, build confidence, and reach their goals. We are committed to giving every student the best opportunity and resources to reach their full potential.

There are three components that are crucial for development

Skating

Puck Tracking

Compete Level

We combine extensive knowledge, proven development methods, and detailed coaching to help goaltenders improve these core skills efficiently and effectively. True development comes from working with a coach who understands the position at a deep level and can tailor instruction to each athlete’s needs — and that is the standard of coaching we are committed to providing.
